Asian Casting Market’s Colorful and Various Events Announced

20th Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Film Market announces the various events of the Asian Casting Market.

Officially launching this year, Asian Casting Market will energize co-production endeavors by connecting established actors and the rising stars of Asia - the world’s biggest film market - with global film industry professionals. Building on the ‘Star Summit Asia’ event held in 2006, the foundations for promoting global casting was set up with last year’s test run of ‘Asian Casting Forum’, ‘Star Lineup’ and the opening of Asian talent management companies’ sales booths at 2014’s Asian Film Market. This year, Asian Casting Market is bolstered by the direct participation by actors from across the Asian region, as well as the Korea Entertainment Management Association and its many member companies.

- A Tribute to One Asian Actor at ‘Curtain Call’
Especially noteworthy is the inaugural ‘Curtain Call’, a special on-stage tribute for a selected veteran Asian star. The candidate for this event is a performer who has gained international recognition while promoting Asian films around the world and has experienced box office success in both domestic and overseas markets.
